1.) I've never brought my pet into a kennel. Why should I bring them to Happy Tails Inn?
There are many reasons why you should bring your pet to Happy Tails Inn. One of main reasons you should is because of our philosophy, which basically is that we believe that pets should have a vacation while you're on vacation. We also believe animals should have human contact daily, they should be cared for and not just boarded up. We also have a state-of-the-art facility. Our T-Kennels make sure that your pet doesn't have to lay on a damn, porous concrete floors. We recommend to stop by Happy Tails Inn for a tour and we can tell you all about it.

2.) Why do most dogs hate kennels?
Most dogs (and cats) hate kennels because of the conditions at the kennel. Chain-link fences, concrete floors, and uncaring care-takers are the main reason animals hate kennels. None of which Happy Tails Inn Pet Resort has. Read through some of the other FAQ's and learn about other reasons why animals hate kennels. Another suggestion we give to any pet-lover planning to bring their pet to Happy Tails Inn is to bring in the animal for a day a week before your trip. It will help your pet to get better acclimated with the resort.

3.) Why do pets get sick at other kennels?
There are two main reasons why dogs get sick at kennels. The first is concrete. Concrete is a porous material and can get moist and capture virus', diseases, and 'the common cold.' Concrete can be a breading ground for getting your dog sick. The second reason is that pets are often trained to 'do it' on concrete, therefore when they are put in a concrete cage they think it's alright to 'go.' With Happy Tails Inn Pet Resort this will never happen because of our T-Kennels.

4.) Why does my pet have a raspy voice when I get them back?
It sounds a little weird, but often pet owners notice a 'rasp' in their dogs voice when they get back from the kennel. Most of the time this is because the kennel they were in has no walls. They are face to face with other dogs all day long. Often, as you would presume, this leads to them barking constantly. Again, this will never happen at Happy Tails Inn Pet Resort because of our specially designed T-Kennels that have walls on three sides of them.

5.) Should I tranquilize my dogs before I bring them in?
We would recommend that you bring in your tranquilizing medication with you when you check your pet into Happy Tails Inn Pet Resort. Time and time again we are finding that we don't need to give the dogs any tranquilizers. This is because they don't always see all of the other dogs (unless of course, they are in the Outdoor Play Area, Pool, or Lounge Area). This is due to the structure of our T-Kennels.

6.) What if my dogs likes to watch TV?
It's no problem at all at Happy Tails Inn. We have an Indoor Lounge (and Party Area,) and 90% of the time we have Animal Planet on.
